Elijah Cotton was the manufacturer of Lord Nelson Ware, at Hanley, Staffordshire. He operated the Nelson & Victoria Potteries using the trade name of Nelson Ware. He invented the brand 'Nelson Ware' in about 1913, and then the term, 'Lord Nelson Ware' appeared around the 1950's. Pieces like this have very little value on their own and often sell at auction as part of $20.00 box lots.
