I don't know the history of this piece, but it is quite a nice bit of furniture. Walnut veneer inlaid on top, and front of drawer. The other timber may be blackwood or cedar. The timbers are all well matched. Probably european build, or early australian. Possibly could be a combination of two bits of furniture, the stand, and the table top. It has a bit of an odd join underneath, either a dodgy repair, or a means of joining the two different items. Approx 800 mm wide, 400 mm deep. In better than average condition on all surfaces. I suspect around 1900 to 1920-ish by the style (?)
