Description
This item was given to my Father recently. We know it is a Sciopticon and that is was manufactured by Pettibone Bros. Mfg. in Cincinatti, Ohio. We believe it is complete though we are not sure since we've never seen one of these before. It was accompanied by several slides made of rectangular wood with glass pictures inserted in them, and a wooden adjustable stand. We would appreciate any information we can get including value if possible.

Hard to tell from the image,

Hard to tell from the image, but I think there are a few bits missing. These are quite rare, only about four I know of have sold at auction in recent years. Most had presale estimates in the $2000.00- $4000.00 range.

Lovejoy

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your reply. I keep looking at this thing and while I realize that it does not look exactly like the ones I've seen online I can't figure out where other parts would go. You're probably right though. Maybe we can come up with the other pieces. Thanks again.

rebecca
