Monitor Furniture Company

Your piece is quite modern and is not an antique, it's in the Colonial revival style which makes it appear far older than it really is.

Monitor was founded in Jamestown in 1919 and specialized in high quality solid cherry Colonial Revival furniture. They went out of business in the late 1980s .Pieces like this have been made since the 1950's, reserging in popularity again in the late 1970's. values for them depend a great deal on condtion, but at auction comparable pieces often go for less than $250.00.
