A Beautiful monographed & dated antique Artists` casket in Rosewood (I think). It has a compartment beneath the opening lid.& two drawers beneath the top compartment. The lower draws are opened by folding out two supports situated to either side of the draws.
All the compartments are lined in green velour as found on antique Billiard Tables. The original lock & key are present and in perfect working order.
On my first inspection the piece appears to be in immaculate condition.
On the lid is an engraved metal monograph to -The Rev Douglas Fraser Hurst, dated 21st September 1914,two months after the start of World War 1.
