Description

I'd like to know more about these mountings.

The larger box contains what I'm sure is a butterly in the Kallima (Oakleaf) genus, although i'm not sure of the exact species.

The smaller box contains what looks like a Zebra Longwing butterfly.

The plants, wood and cowry shells inside look real.

The wood looks and feels real to me, but I'm not going to scratch it to find out, I don't want to ruin the boxes.

They look handmade to me, the hot glue is smeared at the bottom kind of sloppily (although I know I could be wrong).

I got them as a gift 15 years ago from a friend who worked at an auction house. All he told me was that they didn't sell. I don't know anything about them. I apologize for the dust, they were in storage.
