n.c goodnight engraver

Description

hello,

i have admired this at my grandparents house since i was a small child. it has been in my posession for a number of years now and i have often wondered if there is an story/history behind it.I look forward to any information that anyone could provide to me. It says "printed for and sold by N.C Goodnight, engraver, No.14, great warner street London April 26, 1779"

Some things really need a physical appraisal to determine what they are. In the case of prints and engravings they need to be removed fromr theior frames and physically examined.

I understand that, but do you know anything about the company itself, NC Goodnight engraver? What do you look for when something is removed from the frame?
