Need help identifying coffee or tea set.

By Phillip42, 3 October, 2013
Description

I dont know much about this set. My grandma left this to me when she died. She was born in Germany in 1917 and lived there until the 1950s. She always told me it was valuable, but I want to find more about it. Time period, manufacturer ect. If anybody could help it would be much appreciated.

Re: Need help identifying coffee or tea set.

It looks like it dates from the 1920's, but could be as late as the 1950's. It's vaguely Art Deco in style, but the marking isn't of any of the big name (Read valuable) makers. We retail a set like this for about $150.00
