Need Info/Value on a bird's eye maple dresser/bureau with matching mirror by Alexander H Revell

By derby diva, 10 November, 2009
Description

Bureau is bird's eye maple, has one drawer with two metal pulls. Is not real tall at 26", but is very wide at 44". Has a rounded/curved front, with raised wood flowery engravings on front bottom of drawer, and on the tops of the legs. Attachments for mirror are missing. Both mirror and bureau are stamped "Alexander H. Revell & Co., House Furnishers, Chicago, Ills. on the back. The bureau has a number hand written on back "#14372", and has three number "2"'s punch stamped on upper left corner of back, one of the 2's went off the edge, the other 2 are centered. There is some other writing, maybe a name, but it is very faint and hard to make out. Starts with a C, ends with a y. Mirror has the numbers "152" "38" and "703" on the back.
