Description
This Noritake China was made in Japan. Each piece is stamped on the bottom "Noritake Japan Ranier 6909". It is a service for 8 and includes a large oval serving platter, large oval serving bowl and creamer and sugar bowl. There are 8 dinner plates, at least 8 dessert plates, 8 shallow bowls (for soup? or salad?), 8 footed handled cups with 8 saucers. Each piece is bone white, the edges delicately trimmed in silver with pale white flowers enlayed around the edges along with another thin trimming of silver. it is quite beautiful, it almost looks as if it could be meant for a wedding party. I appreciate your time and thank you, in advance, for your help!
Re: Noritake China Ranier collection
Hi the company is Noritake and the pattern is Ranier #6909. Here is a website that you can go to and put in the pattern name and number and it will pull it up. I guarintee that your collection is of great value. I have a Noritake China service for 12 from occupied china (post World War 2) and in 1991 it was appraised and valued at $1,290.00. I hope that this website helps you. http://www.mytableware.com/pattern.html
