Northern Furniture Writing Desk

I just found this desk yesterday and I am in love with it.  I want to know more about it and an approximate date of manufacture and maybe an approximate value.

I found it at a local Goodwill store and paid $125 for it and the stool.  I am pretty sure the stool doesn't go with it but it "came" with it from Goodwill.  The desk has a manufacturer emblem in metal on the inside of one of the drawers.  The emblem is Northern Furniture Company.  It is solid wood with a rope finish around the top and the lattuce work on the sides and claw and ball feet.
