Description
purchased at flea mrkt, it had a severely scratched top surface so I sanded it down and refinished it. Originally it had a blonde finish. The new finish is a natural oil with a satin varnish on the top surface only. The wood is soft, pale with few/small knots, the top is finer than the base. Includes 3 leaves (78" max length). Each leg is made of two legs with joining curved piece. It is very beautiful. I have since moved to Wash DC, so what is it's value here?
Re: Northwest Chair Company dining table
A similar set just sold at auction for $100 in Portland, Oregon.
Here is the description of the lot:
COLONIAL REVIVAL MAPLE DINING TABLE AND CHAIR SET, Northwest Chair Co., Tacoma, Washington, mid-20th century; comprising rectangular dining table with two leaves and six matching arrow back dining chairs. The table top measures 34 x 45-3/4 inches plus 13-1/4 inches for each leaf.
Re: Northwest Chair Company dining table
I saw that set, but it is a very different style, much earlier and common than this table. I think this is more mid-century modern.
Re: Northwest Chair Company dining table
I listed it on Craig's List and it sold in a few hours at $200. In this area, the buyers said tables like this and in good condition go for twice that price, of course this is DC.
How do I delete the listing?
