Hello - My Mom bought this oak server in 1972 and all she was told about it is that they thought it was made around 1929. She loves and would really like to know a bit more about it. The two drawers are joined by 3 large dovetail joints, one is lined with blue felt and is obviously for silver; there are small metal signs in each utensil compartment that say things like: fish fork, fish knives, fish carvers, etc...The lock on the silverware drawer and bottom doors has Margewood, London on one and 2 Lever Patent, lever warranted, English made and some type of stamp that she thinks is REQE. The server is made out of solid oak; even the drawer bottom and back are made of oak and it is very heavy. The top and bottom come apart and the tops of both pieces are comprised of two oak planks about 5/8" thick. The piece is 23 1/2"W X 54"L X 50"H (height includes the back piece). Any information you can give us will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.
