Description
Oil painting of apparent Dutch fishing village seascape. Artist signature is "Hellwig" with a first initial likely "T." (Theodor?). An internet search came up with Theodor Hellwig, b. 1815 (Germany?) Frame is not original. There are wooden wedges in all four corners on rear. Restoration is needed along right side.
This has been hanging in my bedroom for years. I am going to be selling my house and moving in the near future and am trying to determine if I should sell this painting rather than move it with me. I am curious of the paintings name or title and what value it may have. Any help is appreciated
