While I would love to know the value of this picture, I am really just trying to find some information on the artist. I have searched the web with no luck. The painting is probably 15 by 24. It is an oil painting of a girl feeding chickens and signed by Leon Claran. Any information would be appreciated.

<p>I just did a quick check on Artprice.com and they have no listings of paintings sold by this artist as far back as 1987. What you are dealing with is what's called an "Unknown", meaning the artist never gained any following of collectors, or has sold anything of artistic merit at auction. Pieces such as this are often the work of Hobbyist's and sell for under $200.00 .</p><p> </p><p>Lovejoy </p>
