Bouquet of Chrisanthemums. 1884, Oil painting on canvus 20x16
I purchased this painting from an elderly man several years ago. The paintings were so dirty that I thought they had been damaged from smoke. I cleaned them and was amazed as to what was underneath. The painting was so beautiful. I don't think it is an original, but I don't know where or by whom this painting was done. It does have a signature on the lower left facing the picture. The frams are old and made from wood. The back of the frame is stamped with S 6530. I don't know what it means. I have tried to research these numbers but have not been able to find anything. Any Help would be appreciated. Photos posted.
