Re: Oil Ships in the Night
I have had this picture for over 30 years, and I just want to get it appraised.
Re: Oil ships in the night
Picture looks like 3 black ships, and 1 black and gold ship. The ships have a black texture on them. There sails have a black squilly flags on the poles.
The colors on the painting are green, a little yellowishin color, black, and gold. The green and yellow coloring are going in a horizontal direction with the darkest green at the bottom of picture. The moon is in the center of the picture.
Lee Burr signed the painting on the bottom left corner in all capital letters. The first "E" is part of the letter "L" in Lee. The last "R" in Burr is slanted and longer than the first "R". All the lettering has a dot or dots on them.
This picture was given to me 30 years ago by my sister, which she owned for 5 years.
