Description
This fork is hand hammered on the back, has a stamp of "Italy" on the back of one of the tines. It has a lion at the tip of the handle, the deMedici family mark of 6 balls in an oval pattern, very ornate, brass. It has another stamp on the back that is small and I can't tell what it is. My grandparents found it in 1950, half submerged in the sand on either Padre Island or North Beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. The little lion at the tip of the handle is broken off as you can see in the picture. My grandfather stepped on it, that's how they noticed it in the sand.
