I have an old cereamic/pottery 'cannister' with cover and wooden handle. It depicts two men drinking at a table in front of what may be a pub. Man on right is lifting a mug and has a shepherd's crook/hook in left arm. Man on left seems to be just standing at the table; dressed in blue with rust colored scarf. Man on right has a blue derby hat and blue knickers with rust colored boots and shirt front and a blue long coat. There is a window to the right of the man on right and a seat or chair to right of his right boot. On back of cannister or pot is a design of fblue flowers or wheat ears on beige and rut background; also with what looks like a cluster of 3 "acorns". There is a blue painted band 1/4" from bottom. The men seem to be standing on a brick patio with a doorway to the far left. Same design that is on back is also on the cover, with a bue painted round knob to grasp.
I would call it good or excellent condition; no nicks or cracks. It says 'made in Japan' on bottom.
May wish to sell it.
Would like to know the age and dollar worth of this item. Thank you very much!
