Most Victorian Cast iron desks of this type date from the last quarter of the 19th century. They are a tough sell, we used to sell them as outdoor plant stands as we couldn't come up with any other use for them ;~)they sell anywhere from $25.00- $100.00 at auction.

Actually it is quite accurate, I see dozens of these desks every year and have been in the Antique business since 1961. I wish I could tell you it was very rare and Roadshow material, but sadly it's not that rare or valuable.
