Old matching bracelet and ring.

These were given to me by my great aunt about 30 years ago. I have been searching around trying to find information about them with no luck. My great passed away before I got around to asking her. Any information would be greatly appreciated. 

It is a matching ring and bracelet set. On the left side it features a red stone and to the right of that is an animal (a monkey, lamb or bear. I can't quite tell) standing upright in a v-neck sweater, skirt and boots. The animal is holding what looks like a club. She may be a band majorette??
