Description Wooden trunk with the name L.E. Gehres USN printed on top and side of box. Internet search revealed Comdr Leslie E. Gehres captained the USS Franklin during the battle in Okinawa. The trunk has been modified inside to store saddles. Being professionally restored. Photos provided are before restoration. Selling this item to raise funds for Equine rescue.
