This is a medium size platform rocker. It has moveable spindles all around the seat area. The spindles are topped with golf ball size balls. It is dark wood and in excellent condition.The seat is light colored cane. I have never seen a chair like it. It is very comfortable..

Your chair is not one of a kind, it is a late 19th Century piece, often referred to as a " Hunzinger Type", after a American furniture maker named Hunzinger who was famous using spiral twist and bobbin turnings on his furniture. Examples like this are called "lollipop chairs after the round knobs on the end of the spindles. here's a link to sales for this type of cahir for you.
