Oriental Geisha Porcelain Statue

By lcirak, 18 March, 2016
Description

I purchased this statue at a church re-sale shop.  The lady who donated it told the shop girls that her ex-husband had bought it for her and paid over $400.  The shop had a price of $100  on it but accepted $75 because it has a few small chips.  It is 24" tall and 13" wide at its widest point and hand painted.  It is extremely heavy weighing 16.2 pounds!!!  There is a sticker on the bottom that says made in China.

Re: Oriental Geisha Porcelain Statue

A very nice piece, but actually fairly modern. Most items with made in China stickers tend to date from the 1970's forward. Too bad about the damaged sections of it, that does lower its value considerably. We'd retail one like it for about $250.00

Thank you for your response!  Would you still sell it at $250 with the couple chips?

Re: Oriental Geisha Porcelain Statue

We'd price at $250.00  and discount down from there if it didn't sell quickly.
