Hi, just wondering if you have found out any more information about this table? My Mother has just been given one of these from my Grandmother and it's quite obviously from the same maker as this one. The difference is the carving in the top, ours goes around in the oval pattern, you have to follow it around the table if you know what I mean. Apparently it tells a story but not sure what it is, hence me trying to find some information out about it! Do you know if these are common? I know my Grandmother bought it about 60 years ago...will have to go and see if there is anything on the bottom like someone else mentioned.

I have a rectangular table sort of like this w/o the little stools, I know very little about it and this table of yours is the only other one I have seen w/a carved top and the glass over it... If you have been able to obtain any more info on the orgins of your table and how I may find out the origins of mine I would be very thankful. I have looked all over the internet and maybe I am just not looking in the right places but I can't find much. Thanks in advance for any info.

This is a beautiful set.  I just recently acquired an oval one that is 48" long & has six oval stools.  It is very deeply carved and actually some of the scene, like spears and other parts were carved underneath to make them truely 3-D.  I have not yet seen one stained and colored like mine which has ebony colored stools & table.  However, the entire carved portion in the middle is ivory colored.  I am thinking it is from the same time period as this on as the construction is seemingly identical.  Any insight in to this item would be greatly appreciated. If you have any  comments or info please post a reply to this comment.  I will try to get some pics soon and post them.  Thanks!
