Oriental Porcelain Vase: possible qian long dynasty? need help to identify mark

By smiley53032, 25 November, 2010
Description

This is a very beautiful vase, that is in almost perfect condition. There are no chips, or cracks in it anywhere, but there is a little crazing in the upper portion of the enamel, and 3 spots in the same area has a small chip.

I tried to research the mark, but have had no luck. It is very simular to Qian Long Dynasty marks that I have seen, but there is a slight difference in one of the four symbols.

If anyone has any info on either the mark or on what is says on the side< i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Re: Oriental Porcelain Vase: possible qian long dynasty?...

The mark doesn't really matter, rarely are they from the period they signify, and rarely do they affect value when they aren't. This was made in the 1960's-70's for export to Westerners, I see tons of it. Exact same colors, form, decor, with caligraphy on the back. Did you really think it was from the 1700's?

StandAlone, did you really need to be so snarky and condescending with your reply? People are here looking for help and information. If you want to be helpful, do it in a nice way.
