Ormolu and Green Onyx Boudoir Clock
by Samuel Marti
~ French - Circa 1880 ~
A stunning original, antique French boudoir clock. It is made of the most beautifully variegated, specimen green onyx. This is mounted with finely modelled ormolu (fine gilded brass / bronze) in the Louis XVI style. To the top of the clock is an onyx urn with ormolu handles and finial.
The dial is enamel on copper, decorated with delicate floral swags between the numbers. The hands are finely fretted gilt brass.
