Painting by Rembrandt is it possible?

By Joeybah007, 4 February, 2014
Description

A painting by Rembrandt.  Is it possible?

The frame is wood, the backing is wood, so the painting appears to be on the wood backing.

The leather tag on the front bottom of the frame says Rembrandt.

That's really all I know about it.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Painting by Rembrandt is it possible?

The odds are slim to none that there are any Rembrandts unaccounted for out there, These are generally Decorator type reproductions dating from the mid 20th century. With paintings though they really need a physical appraisal and are not good candidates for the online appraisal format.
