Description
We got this set for $100. It has been reupholstered, but wood is original. It has wooden castors on the chair and settee. The rocker is platform. Trying to find out more about it. The woman who sold it said it is Eastlake, but I do not think so.
Re: Parlor Set?
Sets like this tend to date right at the end of the 19th century, similar sets can be found in Mail Order catalogs of the period, dating around the 1890's such as Montgomery-ward and Sears- Roebucks. They had a good run up in value during the Victoriana mad 1980's, with similar sets selling for upwards of $800.00, but now generally less than $200.00 today at auction.
