Picture of Woman Carrying Flowers

  I found this picture in a very old barn loft at my childhood home years ago. I kept the picture for years, but have never been able to find out much information about it. 

  There is a signature on the lower-left corner of the picture: "Geo. Hitchcock Jr, 1887." The picture has a heavy wood frame that seems to be very old and has a distinct pattern that follows all the way around the frame. On the back of the frame there are old thin nails that are tacked all the way around the frame that cradle the picture in place. The glass in the frame seems fairly aged as well. The material that the picture is on is a thick-like paper that is very old and fragile. On the lower-left outer most edge of the picture there is a small section that has crumbled and there are some very small holes in the picture. Despite the damage listed the picture is surprisingly in decent shape for being in a barn loft exposed to the elements. 

  Would someone be able to help me find out more information about this picture, whether it's genuine, has value, or details that could help determine the authenticity of it?
