Pocket Watch

Description

I have a pocket watch made by Illinois Watch Co. It doesn't run at this time. It was well used since the engraving on the outside is worn down. The interior of the watch is in good condition. I will include pictures with clear serial numbers, & detail of the watch.

This is a mens pocket watch circa the late 1800s. Illinois was a very respectable company in the watch industry and you can research alot more about them online. Unfortunately your watch does not have much going for it from a collectors standpoint, it is a commons man watch of the period. The case is goldfilled (noted by the warranted x ammount of years) as opposted to warranted 14k us assay type marking you would want to see. The movement is most likely 15 jewels and midquality.

In non running condition, someone might pay $40-60 for the movements parts and case. In running condition (which could be a major multiple hundred dollar repair or a simple $100 cleaning depending on the problem) this watch would be worth $125-200.
