Description This is a porcelain doll I got from my grandmother. It has something written on the neck but I cannot make out what it says. I am posing pictures with the writing that I magnified to try and read I was hoping someone could help me identify who made the doll and how old it is.

Just a quick idea that might work would be to take a piece of not too think paper and press it against the words then gently rub with the side of a crayon. Pressing Silly Putty agains the mark might also work.

That's really good idea unfortunately I did try that but because of where the writing is it didn't work I couldn't get paper to lay flat I never thought if silly putty though ty

Maybe put the height in and whether the body is solid or fabric might help in searching. Also maybe photograph the writing from both different angles and different light sources.

So I found out it's a "gladdie" doll by Helen Jensen from 1920s now I need help finding out which one exactly and what year
