Description

possibly a ten cents "mercury" dime?  i have a 1916 coin which is gold colored and matches all descriptions for a true 1916 coin as found on http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces51.html .except for its size... it has a dent in the crown of the figure.   however, as noted there is no back, it appears to have been seperated somehow from the back and was at one time welded to something... is this an imitation coin or a real coin? is it even possible to take a coin apart in such a way?
