Pottery small pitcher with handle - painted

By bbcindy, 28 June, 2008
Description

around top of neck opening has blue brush marks going down .5 inch and around opening top, has a picture of looks like a teepee with a blue smoke or blue tree behind it. has a door lovely artwork of cacti tree and what appears to be grass. around bottom all the way around pottery is a lovely attempt at making depth around pitcher using a darker color of clay with beige specs and grey specs looks really good. On one side with arm going down has a lovely green looks like a palm  tree leaves, again with depth of specs around bottom and at top of arm is trimmed with green on the outside beige lines around blue very pretty but also artwork is of a not expert. 2nd front looks like a boy hugging a teepee with holding head down with foot with a sandal on it. Has green cacti trees around him.  Very in depth 3rd attempt again has spec artwork at  bottom. Other side has 2 lovely cacti trees with flowers off of them. again spec artwork at bottom.  Top of pitcher opening has blue paint and clay color going down inside for approx. .5 and also 1 inch not even, looks like trying to paint inside w/o lot of paint just to look finished.

EXCELLENT CONDITION - paint very good condition colors very true - only thing wrong has been broken at top of picture and glued back - doesn;t take away from look at all with primitive artwork on it.  I love it - hate to sell it...but doesn't fit with decor

Re: Pottery small pitcher with handle - painted

It is difficult to determine without a photo but.... This is a decorative pottery piece (unless you can be sure about the "Aldaris" name). It does not have a Mexican theme to it so it quite possibly was crafted by an individual.

The damage takes away from any value.

Decorative value (unless photo and other manufacturer name is given) - $10.00

Hi, I just reread your message, and yes I am sure about the Aldaris name....what does that mean. I can email you pictures I already have them in file and don't know why they didn't go thru. This is a beautiful piece that I just love.  You have to see the pictures to believe.
