Description

This is a print titled "over the top".  I bought it at an estate auction about 20 years ago, for no other reason than i liked it.  I paid $275 for it, which was alot back then, and im not sure if it was the print or the frame that ran the bid up that high.  Its just been gathering dust so i was thinking of selling it, i cant find anything about the print or the frame online so i joined here to see if anyone could help me.

Hello Scotty,

You have a very nice frame. From the pics it looks to be solid oak with very desirable victorian western elements. You should always include the artist's name. As for the print, artist name, open or limited edition, signed by the artist and the big one condition would all be factors in determining value.

Strictly  going by the images you provided and not knowing the artist,  your print would not have much artistic or collector value.  Your print and frame would fall into the decorative market with the frame having most of the value.  Plese note there are always exceptions, but the general rule is open edition prints rarely have much value.  I suggest finding the following about your print when was it published and is it an open or limited edition. If limited then you search for the artist and title of print.  Good luck.
