History Enclosed by a wooden frame that was added in 1970 by the person that donated it to my church, this huge oil painting is unsigned. Supposedly, the theme is a depiction of the return of the Prodigal Son in the Spanish School of Painting, however, it does not bear any resemblance to the classical depictions. The painting was originally purchased in the early 1960's at an upstate New York art gallery and I am curious as to your opinion as to age and value.
