My name is Lyn

I  bought this  Octagonal Box , there is carving details inside

 the center is a Buddah'  and each sides are two different person

 It also has seal mark on the bottom  - cant read what it means,

i don't know much about the octagonal box , i need help from the expert,

Well the marking is no guaruntee of authenticity when it comes to Chinese pieces, the screwsholding the hinges on however tell a different tale. They are cross head "Phillips Screws" an item that was not in production until about 1936. These were made for the export market, at auction I see them go for under $100.00 when properly identified.
