Description
I inherited this clock from my uncle. I don't know when it was made, but it was made in the U.S.A. by the Waterbury Clock Company, whom I understand later became Timex. It measures approximately 33" high by 15.5" wide and 5" deep. It doesn't work at present, but did work when my uncle had it hanging in his home. Do I pay to have it repaired so it runs again, or chuck it?
Re: Regulator Clock by Waterbury
From what i can see from your photos looks like a merchantile clock used
in stores and railroad stations between 1890-1930s. Main thing with these
clocks is to be sure it is level when hung to maintain an even beat.
because you have two winding posts it probably gongs. Make sure when
winding the post on the right winds to the left the one on the left
winds to the right. If it does not continue to run then in would be worth taking it to someone to have cleaned and oiled. They are generaly worth
around 375-450.

Extreme thanks for sharing your knowledge! That information is very helpful. I shall pursue locating a clock repair person to clean, oil and get this piece up and running. I am grateful to you.
