Offered is a Remington Paragon No. 12 Typewriter, 1926. This Remington is in good working condition and is fully functional. By its serial number was made in 1926 at Ilion, NY at the original Remington Firearms Factory. The interesting feature is that it was rebuilt in London.
Above keyboard says, "MADE AT ILION, NEW YORK, USA"
On back says, "REBUILT BY BRITISH LABOUR AT THE REMINGTON TYPEWRITER FACTORY, LONDON"
The serial number plate says, "LP69578”.
It is fully functional, has no manuals or other documentation, and seems to have a modern ribbon in it. It has a black paper holder. All the keys, carriage, tabs, bars and other parts work. There is a modern spool of black/red ribbon inside. It has a legible famous Remington "Red Seal".
This would be a great item for the experienced or beginning collector. It would make a great display piece in an office or lobby, or a great conversation piece.
I will have this Remington packed professionally and sent to you per your shipping instructions.
While researching this item, I became a mini-expert on antique Remington typewriters and would be happy to share what I’ve learned.
