Description
This desk belonged to my grandmother. My aunt is going to give it to me soon. I have no idea how old it is. It is in great shape. My grandmother used it to write letters to my grandfather back when he was in the war. She had used it in more recent years to store old paperwork . The closest thing i could find to this desk on the internet was an RJ Horner desk made in the 1800s. I dont have the desk yet and im not sure if it has a name on it anywhere. Im looking to find out if anyone could tell me the name and value of this desk ??

Hi. No idea how long ago you posted this. Did you ever get more information on the desk? I have something passingly similar, tho with peg-and-scallop joints. Thanks! Squishy

It's not a Horner piece. This one dates from the turn of the 19th century and is in the Colonial Revival style. Desks like this were made in North America in very large numbers Circa 1890-1900.
