Description

This is a small box with very detailed decoration on the top with the scene of a woman and two other people near a home/farm.  All portions of the box are decorated.

There is a lock on the front of the box and hinges on the back.  The inside is carved so that two glass  bottles sit in the box. One bottle has not contents and has a glass lod on it, the other jar appears to have a brass or silver lid and when opened appears to have straw seeds in it.

Found on the bottom of the box was a business card from an antique dealer from London that says " Prisoners Straw work 1812

History Purchased at an estate auction. The business card from an antique dealer was turned around to the back when just looked like a blank piece of paper. The auctioneer described as a decorative box and was not aware of box history.
