Nice bit of Royal Doulton, the Dogberry watch pieces were made circa 1906-1928 if I recall correctly. We see these go for about $175.00 , so you did very well to get it for $60.00

Royal Doulton at Burslem

John Slater was retained as Decorating Manager when the firm became Doulton and Company in 1882 and John Cuthbert Bailey was appointed General Manager at the age of 23. Charles J Noke moved from Worcester to become Chief Modeller in 1889. Slater retired in 1914 and Charles Noke was appointed as Art Director until he retired in 1936. For the last 16 years of his tenure, Charles Noke worked in association with his son Cecil J Noke (Jack) who succeeded his father as Art Director in 1936 and Jack held the position until his sudden death in 1954        the mark was used 1901 thru 1927

Here the sad part in the Uk you can find this for 195.00pounds and on E Bay Sold for $75.00

I just want to add some food for thought. I meet people everyday that sells on E Bay. they buy stuff from yard sales and thrif stores for nothing, then sell it on E Bay with out a clue what its true worth is, as long as they can make a dime.. But that kills what things are worth. when everyone seems to think E Bay is full of Experts on what they sell........The Watchman mugs used to be worth over $700.00,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, now. If a collector needs that mug, maybe you can get a good amount.. good luck

A lot of these "Collectibles" have had values free falling for years now, Ebay becoming the big dumping ground. Ebay may not be full of experts, but it is the canary in the coal mine, indicating future price levels.

When someone says to me. I can get it cheaper on E Bay. I tell them Ok go for it, I have mine right here right now, and you can see thats it works, and you don't have to pay taxes...I do try and price things so if people want to resale it, they can still make a profit. But life goes on, and I still can only sell it for what someone is willing to pay me.. ( Humor)

It used to be in the old days you left a little room/profit for resale "Up the Chain" ;) As long as you made your mark up and covered your costs all was well.
