Royal St. John Sewing Machine

Description

My mother bought this sewing machine from an antique store about 25 years ago as a conversation piece more than anything else. It has a beautiful wood cabinet with what I believe is called a coffin top (remove the top and there is the machine). The cabinet has three drawers on each side and a small drawer in the middle. The treadle says "Royal Stl.John". The instruction booklet is dated 1885 and a removeable plate on the machine lists a bunch of different patent date. In all honestly I know very little about the machine or its worth. Any information or resources would be greatly appreciated.
