Paper glued onto the underneath chair seat pictured reads:

Established 1867

S. Bent & Brothers, Station A, Gardner, Mass

Dovetailed Joints used on all wood seat chairs

No. (unable to read)

Painted black – underneath seat is not painted - reddish hard wood

Rocking chair is 32 ½” tall

Rocker is 29” long

Seat is 15” wide
