Saint Barbara Martyr Icon Pendant

Description

Saint Barbara Religious Icon Scapular Pendant and Chain Marked 18K

Icon Pendant is 2" in height (not including hook for chain) and 1 1/4" in width. Chain is 25" long.  Weighs 2.2 ounces. 

Does anyone recognize anything about this pendant?  I would like to know the origin of pendant - Could be Christian Orthodox - Ukranian or Russian possibility of significance to St. Barbara Feast Day, Dec. 4?  Would appreciate any information.  Thank you!

Quite the opposite, actually. This pendant has its orgins in south-central america, almost certainly cuba. Saint barbara is held with special devotions  in this area. (In the movie scarface, there is a large picture of saint barbara in tony montana's mothers kitchen, it is very prominent in the scene) similar  pendants are owned by many cuban catholics. I am not cuban, but i own one from cuba.
