This chair has been reapolstered. I haven"t been able to find any carvings like this in my research. It is fairly heavy, large and comfortable. I.m not sure what kind of wood this chair is made of. Could you please give me some information in it,

History I found this chair at a yard sale 10 yrs ago. owner had no history. The carving on the leg looks similar to a carving on the outside of the Saenger Theatre in Mobile Al.
