It has gold rim and a bronzy type color rose and leaf pattern. It is in perfect condition except for a chip on the edge of what I think is the sugar dish?

found it....your pattern is called Shadow Rose  #3686....replacements Ltd. shows it was made between 1953-1989 and is now discontinued....they show a 5 pc place setting for $69.95 and numerous pieces you can add to the set if you want, but they are usually double what you can find on auctions...so might be worth it to you to put a saved search in  ebay or other simialr sites.

I have found on most china sets,  its often better to piece it out as replacements than try to sell the set as a whole....but you can add up what you have from the replacements lts. site and go from there.

Quite right, selling these pieces as separate replacment items is the way to go, as the market for large 2Oth century dinner services is in the dumps currently. There is a glut on the market right now because everyone is dumping their mother's or grandmother estate items at auction, 20th century china in particular. We often see whole set with place settings for 8-12 go for under $300.00 at auction.
