on the bottom it has a seal with the number 1208. the seal says Silver Co. quadruple. This was handed down to me from my mother in-law. I have no idea it's value.

It's a silverplate piece from the second quarter of the 20th century. Not much demand for silver plate these days, I often see comparable pieces sell at auction for less than $25.00. A lot depends on how they shine up, if the plating is lessthan perfect it's hard to sell.
