Description This creamer looks to be handmade by the curves.  The handle is large, the weight is sturdy and it has a lot of charm.  I know nothing about silver, it just caught my eye.

1847 is not the date made. &quot;1847 Rogers Bros&quot; is a trademark name still being used today. The Hotel Wentworth on Oak Knoll was not built until 1907. Your little creamer could date around then. Nickel silver is a metal alloy of copper with nickel and often but not always zinc. It is named for its silvery appearance, but contains no silver. Nice souvenir item from a hotel that no longer exists. Market value unknown by me.<br />

I don't know any more about it but I have a teapot of the exact same pattern, mark, numbers etc. It is 5" tall and about 6.5" from wpout to back of handle. I know it belonged to my Mother-in-law's family of Los Angeles, CA - they were in that area by at least 1920s.
