Silver holder of something that's a little over 27" tall

Description

Me and Hubby were going through the garage stuff again and came across this pretty piece.
I've never known what it was,but I've used it to hold a planter....and as an ashtray.(when I used to smoke)

We may be interested in selling it after I find out what it is.
